Day 3: An install at one of our data centers in Dublin.
Following yesterday’s install, I took the train from Belfast to Dublin. A busy railway route that took me though 8 stations to Dublin Connolly. I’d been on holiday to Dublin several times while living in Belfast, so again it was great to be back.
ISUMO have strategic partnerships with selected Data Centers across the UK and Ireland, Equinix is one of them, and that’s where I was heading.
My brief was to install a minicomputer to monitor the network which would provide us with even greater monitoring, response and reporting features.
I carried out a review of our racks and a physical security audit of the Data Centre to ensure that our responsibilities under ISO 27001 are accounted for.
My visit to Dublin was short but successful. Unfortunately, I’d not even time for quick half of Guinness, I was heading off to catch my flight back to London.
